My Frankenberger Lawn Care llc business has been extremely blessed to work with Shields facility maintenance! We serviced 5 gas stations for the Elkhart, Goshen , Indiana area for the snow season. Nothing new from previous reviews. We performed the work, not getting paid. Then they send an email for termination of service due to site closing. Services them for MONTHS, maybe got paid for 5 visits on a weekly schedule. Company is at a huge loss, now they want to blame us for not having slips signed. Well, sites management changed and because new managers didn’t witness the work they won’t sign. I will say this, as a small business owner now in 2 states with landscaping. My company serviced a property for them back in October and November of 2024, it is currently January of 2025. It was the Best Buy store in Ames, IA. The previous contractor had neglected to maintain it, and we were asked to send a bid for an emergency cleanup, and to maintain it for the rest of the year. I got my proposals approved and we got it back to normal. Communication withy my rep (Carolyn Brooks) was spotty, but she normally got back to me if I left a voicemail. My company has been a vendor with this company and has yet to be paid after eight months. We completed the work for one of the properties they manage (Lowe's) and submitted all requested documents, but they stopped responding to any communication once the work was completed. If you are a contractor, beware of working with this company.
This company has been trying to contract us for quite some time. First off their pricing is a joke and I do not know who are doing these properties for this pricing. Especially since you have to have 1 million dollar commercial fleet insurance with plowing and salting operations listed before they pay you, also workers comp insurance along with property liability insurance. To do a large tractor and trailer Speedway they are willing to pay you a whole 50 bucks to plow the lot, which will take you a couple of hours to do. You... read more
