I drove central Miami to go to this school 45 mins away the closet school was 10 and more expensive. This drive not only saved me cash because of the schools low cost but made me more knowledge able in the security industry. Thanks to Joss I want to go back to Shield Security to obtain my G and concealed weapons licenses. Side not if you go for your G you get the concealed for free. Not many schools can offer that. O.k. I first want to make a comment about the negative review I read on here. Im not sure who or what that guys problem is but I know I was having a hard time finding a job and Joss from the broward office actually set me up with multiple interviews. He was a big help. I would only hope people realize that there are some bad apples out there and not to listen to that guy. I have been researching school for security for months. I have friends in the security field and when I asked about the pricing and name of this industry nothing negative was ever said. After diligent research I went with Shield Security. I called for their schedule at 7am on Wednesday morning, and found they were starting class in two hours. This is a great school with knowledgeable instructors whom really take the time to help their students w/ job placement.
Did the school passed the tests got certified , but when it came time to pick up my g licence there had been a issue between the k instructor, and the school which i was lied to about what actually happened then told i would have to meet my k instructor somewhere in the street to get my certificate. i feel the training was inadequate ,and we spent a good deal of the time sleeping or with our heads down while we could of been learning more hands on material. these guys while are great people preached customer service yet gave... read more
