Dr Cohen and staff have the answers when I’ve had health questions for my special needs daughter and have been professional and quick with our time in the appointment. Our family knows first hand what docs are up against for todays health insurance-ruled medical facilities and they are still delivering excellent patient care in this environment. Thank you!
My child keeps having to have weight checks and he is not over weight. He is as tall as 11yr and he is 9.
This was our first visit with Dr Cohen. She performed a well check with my 7-year-old son. He does not have any health problems and we did not express any concerns to her. She was very friendly and open to discuss anything we wanted to discuss. She gave us several opportunities to speak (I.e. “Is there anything else you’d like to discuss?” “Do you have any questions?”). The visit was relaxed and straightforward. Dr. Cohen has been particularly helpful with my daughter who has had complex developmental needs. She listens thoroughly, makes appropriate referrals when needed, and is patient and kind. She knows my children, not just doctors them. For example, she remembers their interests and activities. Highly recommend Northern Nevada Pediatrics and Dr. Cohen specifically.
My family has been with Dr. Sheryl Cohen for close to fourteen years and have nothing but good things to say about her. She is knowledgeable, kind, and thorough in her assessment and diagnoses of her patients. Her commitment to her patients' health and wellbeing is commendable. She has continually gone above and beyond many pediatricians would to ensure our children, who we received both by birth and international adoption, thrive.
We just moved to Reno and saw Dr. Cohen when my boys got sick. They didn’t make me wait to get our well visit done first which was great. She was great with the boys and very thorough. Glad I found her.
Dr Cohen ia always looking out for the best interest of my boys. I trust her advice and expertise. She has always directed my in the right direction when it comes to helping my family. I have been taking my children to Dr. Cohen for years. I love how easy it is to get in to see her both when they are sick and when they need their check-ups. I like how patient she is with the kids and how she talks directly to them. She is very caring and always makes sure I don't have any more questions before we end the visit.
Dr. Cohen is a smart doctor. However, she feels she owns your children and any questions are met with a stand off attitude and the typical "I am a doctor". If you ask a question it is met with"It does not matter"since she has told you what her decision was and all discussions after that are ignored. She can not wait to get out of the room when you are asking her questions. The most troubling aspect of Dr. Cohen is the fact that she feels that she owns your children not you.
