Years ago, in the early 80s, I bought a collie from Tom and Sheryl when they were living in South Austin. They boarded that collie and several others for me over the 30+ years that I have known and done business with Shertom Kennels. They are collie breeders, but love and care for all dogs like their own. Also will go the ''extra mile'' for a dog in trouble!. Horrible – We boarded our dog over Memorial Day weekend. Everything was fine upon check in but we made arrangements for my mother to pick up my dog at noon on Sunday. My mother got to the kennels at noon and found my dog in a pen in the hot sun all by herself. No one was around and my mom had to call several of the numbers posted on the door to find out what was going on.
