I was made to wait over an hour for a morning appointment with no one else in the waiting room. No update and when I asked at the 55-minute mark was told 'It'll be as long as it will be.' A few minutes later I asked for my insurance card back so I could leave as they'd effectively canceled my appointment on me by not seeing me and giving me no update. Terrible, rushed, no idea how he can be the founder and CEO.The office double contacts me to tell me biopsy results, after we already scheduled a procedure from the results received, staff don't leave last names (Alicia) and there are more than one. Called call center 4 times to this Alicia which ended up nowhere. After 5th call I get through to a condescending, excuse making staff member. Read your notes lady! and don't waste my time! I will not recommend this group period!

Had a bad reaction to a tick bite. Dr. Sherman took excellent care of the situation, even calling me at home at 8 PM, as he was leaving the office, to update me on the matter. He has a great bed side manor, wit and humor. Too bad more Doc's don't interact as Dr. Sherman does; it's a lost art.

Would not recommend. Gave plenty of forward notice I was a new patient with history of melanoma. He did not review chart, did not conduct appropriate skin screen. Condescending. Sent to plastic surgeon without exam or biopsy.

I was surprised to find out after my visit that this doctor is the “CEO & Founder” of Mid FL Dermatology… How is it possible?? Michael Gutierrez was rude, unprofessional and aggressive in his demeanor. Got extremely defensive when I asked a basic question and the appointment was rushed. I left with no treatment, explanation for my condition. It was uncomfortable and I will not go back. This review is my personal opinion and it directly relates to my own personal experience after visiting Mid Florida Dermatology. I do not recommend this group Mid Florida Dermatology. The office is not clean and it is poorly managed. Patients are treated like cattle and quickly herded through their assembly line with getting them out as quickly as possible being their main objective. Worst experience ever. Dr Gutierrezz was rude, uninterested in even looking at me, and not at all competent! I DO NOT recommend. I had to go see an out of network Derm to have a proper thorough exam. I had previously seen two nurse practicioners who misdiagnosed me and completely missed diagnosed skin cancers (after I went back to request biopsies it was confirmed) I didn't feel right and so went to see a good out of network Dr who told me which spots needed biopsied but because of high cost I went back to see the actual der... read more
