I started shopping here explicitly for the Aldens, but have really come to love the staff and the experience. It has a wonderful charm of "how things used to be." Have yet to have a bad experience, but I suspect if I did, they would fix it.

I came into the store having an idea of what I thought I wanted. After revealing my inexperience buying dress shoes, the staff didn't jump to make a sale that was good for them. But educated me and answered my questions to make sure I bought a pair of shoes that were good for me. I walked out having spent less than I expected on a pair I'm really liking. Great service, great people, great shoes.

Tremendous customer experience from Sherman Brothers Shoes. Jeff is a terrific guy who helped me with an Alden shoe purchase. He was able to procure my needed size in a matter of a few weeks in what would have been a 6-8 month wait for a special order. I have to believe Sherman Brothers relationship with Alden was the reason why. Now, he cannot be expected to always be able to do the impossible, but even with the usual “build time” of months for a particular size, I was so appreciative of his manner, and his ability to set t... read more
