I was referred to Dr. Gauss from pulmonology in Eugene Oregon and upon my first meeting she seemed all right. She wasn't very personable with me. She wasn't very informative and that is literally out of the year that I've been seeing her as my doctor. I've talked to her that one appointment and on the phone after my heart catheterization that was performed by a cardiologist not by her and then since then I've talked to nobody but the pharmacist for my medication changes and dosages and what not. I've been hesitant to write this, as I've never had an experience quite like the one I had with Dr. Gause; no doctor has ever made me (or my family) feel so uncomfortable and unsafe. After delivering her findings to my father in the ICU, she continued, for several days, to privately visit him--each time encouraging him to quit fighting (which is what he wanted to do, fight until the end) and to just die. While he was still able to talk, he told me she made him feel "dried out and small" with tears in his eyes. I watched him ... read more
