$100.00 for Internet for Pace reception. That's crazy. They are re-modeling. Under new management.
Really great movers – I stay here when i come back up for business. THis is the greatest hotel in Seattle. It has the most welcoming and helpful staff. It has a great atmoshphere and there is alot to do in the surrounding area! Great for small business trips
Thin walls for your ears, the smell of urine for your nose – We stayed on the 5th floor in room 512. We were at the mercy of the sounds from the elevator, and because the walls are thin those sounds dominated our time there. In addition to that the smell of urine (from a previous guest) seemed to grow more pungent over the course of our overnight. This is a glorified party hotel, and the young staff doesn't seem to mind. On a positive note the rooms do look nice, and if you get a room facing southwest you'll enjoy a great vi... read more
A beautifully decorated oasis. – Granted, the layout of the room was fairly standard. Nothing exciting. But, the decor of the room overcame the layout. It felt like a luxury room (and, for the price, I admit I expected that). But, despite being downtown, the room was quiet and restful. The location is great. Walking to the UW campus was easy. Walking to Husky Stadium wasn't as easy, but it was pleasant. Just leave in plenty of time for the game. We really didn't take advantage of all the hotel had to offer, but it was a rela... read more
What a fab hotel!!! – So this was my first experience with a hotel, (rather than a motel). My boyfriend and I are both college students, but we saved up and decided to splurge a little bit on a nice weekend to Seattle. And I must say I was very pleased with our experience! Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly, one of the gentlemen who ran the front desk recommended a fantastic Italian restaurant and even offered the call set up dinner reservations for us. The breakfast was very good, I was kind of worried about ... read more
Memorable stay ... for the wrong reason! – Nice hotel ... just that they got into our room (a mix up?) and took away the refrigerator ... got rid of the baby bottle/food and shopping from Pike Place Market. On sensing that we were a bit upset ... they fished the stuff from the trash and got it back to us! Hey, talk about great service!!
WONDERFUL AMBIENCE – we stayed at hotel deca during my first every trip to seattle. it was a wonderful experience. the atmosphere, the mood, everything, was totally unexpected. to me, hotel deca is seattle. its funky, offbeat, and original - just like the city. i plan to stay there again.
Best views in Seattle! – the jewel of the udistrict!!!! i did not know that a hotel like this existed outside of the downtown area. competitive rates and the best views around (if you're not an executive at safeco). free parking, free internet, free breakfast, and flat screen tvs! there's a bar in the basement with live music on weekends and the rooms are huge! A++++!
Best Customer Service Excellent location – The location can not be beat. Walking distance to University of Iowa, University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Kinnick Stadium, Carver Hawkeye Arena, Hancher and more. The staff always treats you like family. This hotel really knows how to take care of their guests. When staying in Iowa City the Sheraton is the only place to really experience downtown Iowa City.
