Today (10/8/24) I won a judgement in court for breach of contract by Shepley Fence for excess of $5000. Proceed with this information.
If you want a fencing company that will take your deposit and run, Shepley is the right company for you! We signed a contract months ago when we gave him the deposit and have been chasing him ever since. We finally asked for our deposit back and he said he was keeping it as a fee for pulling a permit. According to Volusia County, a permit was never pulled. So we are out $1,000 with no fence work don’t on our property.
Can’t ever get anyone on the phone. Tried calling since the last owner of a house we purchased got a fence installed by this company, and I didn’t receive keys at closing. I spoke to the owner once, who said it was no problem and he’d be in town the following week and I can come by the office to pick up a set of keys.
