100/10 experience from start to finish! Yes, the venue is beautiful, but that can be seen from the photos. The all-star rating is entirely at the hands of John and his lovely family. Before even getting to the wedding day, John was kind and responsive and so incredibly helpful through the nearly year and a half long planning process. Their home/venue is so fun and modular that we were able to host two events on back-to-back days for 90-100 people each that felt like two completely different spaces! I was here for an outdoor Ball. They had tents, tables, a sound system with 2 wireless microphones as part of the event. It is beautiful! The view from part of the property is amazing. There is a good amount of parking available too. I would would recommend this venue.
We had such a wonderful time at the Shepherd's Field! It was peaceful and beautiful. I loved it!
Pretty venue, windy, but pretty. The road (driveway) going up to the property is really one lane. Kind of dangerous at night. If you had caterers or other services needing to come or go when guests are arriving or leaving, it is asking for an accident. Grass was grown over so it was hard to see boulders on the sides. They either need to widen it or make clear pull over areas for passing.
"The venue was beautiful!" That's what everyone kept saying after our wedding. The amenities were amazing and John Shepherd was very helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone in the near future. Not only was it extremely affordable but also accommodated all of our needs for our wedding!
