Sweet doctor and has generally good bed side manner, however, she sees far too many patients in her day to take the time to appropriately discuss exam findings. If you call with a question a nurse will call you back, not the doctor. If you request the doctor, and you notify them it's urgent regarding a complication, it apparently takes her more than 24hours to call you back. If you are waiting on important lab results it takes a good few days to hear from her and again it's the nurse calling you
She was a great doctor from the first visit and through out my entire pregnancy. Very happy with the entire office and my experience with this practice.
Terrible service to their patients and very little knowledge from any of the nursing staff. Will not be bringing any of my family here anymore.
Dr. Shepherd delivered my first baby girl in June...she was wonderful throughout my entire pregnancy. Always took time to answer questions and was very helpful in reassuring me of what is happening. Never had more than a 10 minute wait in the office and the staff was always wonderful and remembered who I was every time I walked in the door. The nurses were great too... always called back asap whenever I had a question.
Dr. Shepherd has deliver two of my babies. She is absolutely amazing! One of the most caring doctors around! Most of the reviews on here are mostly about the receptionists and nursing staff and have nothing to do with her practice. If you can let the other stuff go and realize they deal with patients for many other doctors then the experience is normal!
She is above apologizing for the rudeness and incompetency of her staff, will not introduce her medical students (shouldn't I have the right to decline their presence, or at least know who they are? They certainly know all about me.), then argues that a sign up front is enough to earn these students the right to be in the exam room. I don't understand why she can't be a little kinder and considerate of my wishes, I would have been more understanding if she showed some empathy and humility.
