Went to hospital Sunday night had bad gall stones and needed my gallbladder removed,I had the surgery on Thursday around 1200 and was walking out the hospital door by 400.Dr Shepherd did a wonderful job on me.He and his staff was very professional
DO NOT GO TO HIM! I have never left a negative review online—until today. Last Friday, I had emergency gallbladder surgery while on vacation out of state. Over the weekend, I experienced excruciating pain. At discharge, I was specifically told to call the on-call doctor if I had severe pain, needed medication, or experienced complications. On my initial visit with Dr. Shepherd, I found him to be very informative about my condition and the need for my procedure. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done. He informed me of the risks of the surgery and the risks of declining surgery. I liked his straightforward approach. He answered all my questions. I was comfortable after talking with him and we scheduled my surgery. I am now 2 months post-op and I feel great. I was totally healed after 1 month, which was what he told me.. Great doctor, compassionate about my issue, directed to the point, took his time to explain the procedure and quickly was able to schedule my surgery. Surgery and recovery went very well
I had double open incision hernias. They were very large. They do not care about how much pain you are in once home. They do not refill your pain med. I was not asking to be over medicated just not so much pain. Feel like my belly button area is being ripped apart. The Hospital suggested this suregon. I would not use them again. If you want someone who cares use Dr Chablis he cares about your pain more
