The resort is in a great location and the property itself is nice, but I was disappointed by several of the policies and the overall experience. You’re not allowed to bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas, drinks, or cooler onto the beach. Instead, you have to rent the resort’s chairs and umbrellas and purchase drinks from the resort, which made the beach experience much more expensive than expected. We just returned from a fun girls' weekend at Shephard's Resort, and everything was wonderful. While the property itself was great, the absolute highlight of our stay was an employee named Lexi, who works out by the pool area. We watched her work tirelessly the entire time we were there. Not only was she incredibly friendly and welcoming, but she was constantly looking for ways to stay busy and keep the area perfect.
