My wife and I have been going to Sheperd Integrative Dermatology since moving to Mt Pleasant in 2016. This practice is amazing. They have a deep team of qualified PA's and MD's. Sheperd's team has helped us to evaluate suspicious moles and spots which has been potentially life saving over the years. More recently I visited with a case of what I assumed to be shingles (even though I have been vaccinated) but PA Dana Aman and Dr Carter Hebel immediately diagnosed another infection I was battling. I needed a fast response from Shepherd Dermatology and they delivered. Needed a biopsy to find out if the area of concern was cancerous. While there other suspicious spots were treated, also. I couldn't have been treated any better. Dr. Shepherd is my rock star.
The staff at Dr. Shepherd’s office is absolutely amazing. There may have been one person who could work on being a bit kinder, but aside from that, everyone is truly wonderful. Dr. Shepherd herself has such a calming presence — she practically floats into the room. Dr. Shepherd is the absolute best! I had self-prescribed tretinoin, which ruined my skin barrier and caused an extreme ongoing breakout, which had lasted months and months. She worked with me very personally to repair my skin and now it is smoother than ever--no makeup required. She is extremely compassionate and cares deeply about her clients. The office is beautiful and the entire staff is very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
While I’m disappointed to not be returning to this office, I have nothing but positive things to say about my appointment experience. The hospitality team, providers, and medical assistants are all amazing—so kind and professional. I especially want to thank Dr. Hebel, who truly listened to my concerns about acne and took action right away to help. I can’t say enough good things about her and the care she provides!
