This emergency room is a joke. I got here at 8:30pm with my 10 year old who has a sprained ankle. It’s now 3hrs later and we still haven’t gone back to see his X-rays or talk to anyone minus the x-ray technician. I’ve seen three people go back that came in after me. I understand it’s by urgency of treatment but to have a child sitting in your waiting room and ignoring them is pathetic. DO BETTER.
Since moving to this town a few years ago I have been to this ED on multiple occasions for myself and for others. EVERY single time it’s a horrible experience. Now that I’m a nurse myself and work in an ED I can say whole heartedly this is an absolute garbage facility. Who ever is in charge of hiring and training the nurses at this hospital needs to be fired. This ED is full of the most miserable and rude nurses I have ever seen. My mother had to go in an ambulance last night. She called to tell me that I need to get her out of there because they aren't allowing her to take her prescriptions as she needs. Last night when I was there with her, I had to ask multiple times for them to give her her heart medicine and one of the doctors actually told me she doesn't really need it. I'm guessing he doesn't have much understanding of heart failure.
Just came back from a visit for chest pains and my experience was extremely uncomfortable. The nurses, doctors an rns were just trying to get me out asap. Saw that I have low potassium, ran with it and discharged me as quick as they could. It was not busy at all and I don't understand why they were in such a rush to get us out instead of figuring out what's really wrong with me.
