Dr. Shen is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and specializes in breast cancer treatment and surgery. My mom and I came here for a second opinion and we are glad we did. The first surgeon I went to where we waited 5 hours for a family consultation just to have him explain 10 minutes the procedure. It was a very annoying experience and caused a lot stress, not ideal for people who are looking for treatment. Our PCP recommended UCLA and we are very glad! Dr. Shen has truly been a life-saver and exceptional treatment coach to my aunt/godmother in her yearlong battle with an aggressive & extremely complex form of breast cancer. Dr Shen is great as long as you don’t mind waiting. Never have a been seen in time. Waits as long as an hour.
It has been 3 years since my breast surgery. I loved Dr Shen. She was so sweet, gentle and informative. I was under so much stress. The chemotherapy made me feel ill sometimes but she was comforting. Unfortunately, she was not able to do my surgery since she had health issues to tend to at the time. So surgery had to be rescheduled and Had to deal with a very rude Dubko PA via telephone whom I never met. I wish she would know that no cancer patient should be treated so Rudely.
