The adjustors Gary Merritt couldn't handle my case and cursed at me when I asked to be transferred to someone who could help me. Took 4 to 5 days to return emails and I had to get his supervisor involved. P.o.s.

The claims adjuster in the Lincoln office refuses to acknowledge email or calls. Gary Merritt is a ghost. This is one way they get away without paying claims for their insured and a completely unprofessional example of Shelter Insurance customer service. Will make sure everyone is aware of the shady way this company handles their business. Remember, insurance companies work for us. We pay huge premiums, they help when tragedy strikes. This insurance company promised to pay for damages for my truck after Gary deemed it totaled, took over 6 months to begin processing my claim - body shop completely fixed the truck as this insurance company promised, now no one can get ahold of them for payment for work done after they’d already agreed to pay. This is EXTREMELY shady. Definitely never using this company again, highly recommend AGAINST it unless you enjoy working with companies who don’t follow through with their agreements.
One of their insured backed into my vehicle. The claims specialist took almost 3 weeks to process my claim even though I had a body shop estimate the same day of the accident and the damage was mild.
