Phoebe was kind and informative with me and my baby during my lactation consulting process. She took the time to understand my situation and helped steer me in the right direction of how to move forward. She is the right type of person to see during a time that is so delicate. I certainly hope I’ll be following up in the future when it is time to wean off breastfeeding/pumping.
Shelly is a miracle worker!!! I went to her after going to a couple of IBCLCs before, she is truly the best at what she does. She quickly found the root of the issues we were having and is truly an expert. She spent more time with us than all of the others combined. I had nearly given up hope on breastfeeding prior to working with her but after a couple of visits we had it all figured out!
We came to see Phoebe when our son was 5 days old. He was not nursing well and losing weight. She suggested to us to supplement with a bottle and nurse him 2-3 times a day. This decision lead us to switch to bottles completely at 3 weeks old. We came with a goal to exclusively breastfeed and did not get enough support. As a first time mom there are a lot of questions that come with breast feeding. However, after working with Phoebe from Shelly Taft I have been able to nurse my baby with confidence and pump efficiently. Phoebe was very informative while also listening to my concerns. She ensured my baby had a proper latch and also gave me insight into how much he was consuming per feed. The experience with Shelly was life changing!! I made an appointment with her for my third child, he was struggling with some reflux issues, and wanted to see how we could help baby and also help decrease the time it took to lay him down for bed! Shelly immediately gave me some great tips, tricks, and exercises for the baby - and we made very quick progress.
