Dr. Shelly is truly awesome she is caring and very personable. She listens to you and offers you the best care ever. I so blessed to have her as a doctor. I can’t thank her enough for the care she provided with my surgery. I was up and feeling great by the next morning. Today is day two and Im resting but virtually pain free. Without any hard meds … thank you Dr. Shelly

Dr. Hook followed me through my first pregnancy, labor. and delivery. She was absolutely great. During my pregnancy visits she always took the time to answer all my questions, explained any of her concerns well, listened to my concerns carefully, offered very practical down-to-Earth advise on any sorts of matters without ever imposing a specific option or decision. She is very knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to the wellness of both mom and baby. My labor, delivery, and post-partum experience would not have been as smoot... read more

Was put on pitocin for 29 hours and my water was never broken. Dr. Hook visited me twice early in my labor, and said she would come back at the end of her clinic to come break my water if I was still not progressing. She never came. Ended up hemorrhaging due to the length of time that I was on pitocin and lost 2 L of blood which almost resulted in an emergency hysterectomy. This was all explained to me by my nurse, but Dr. Hook never acknowledged or explained to me what happened. When I returned for my 6 week follow up, she ... read more

Disappointed in her office! Called to make appointment and asked the nurse if she took my insurance and she said yes and even took my policy number. Then told me to go get blood work taken before the doctor visit. Turns out they didn’t take my insurance and I owe grace clinic $2,000! Very disappointed this all could’ve been prevented with them making sure they took my insurance. Not to mention it was hard to get in with another doctor it took a whole month later.

I was referred to Dr. Hook for pain that ultimately resulted in an unnecessary surgical procedure.

She did my hysterectomy, as well as my mom's. She delivered my first grandchild. Two of my nieces had their babies with her. Very good doctor, and my family that has seen her has only good things to say. ??

Dr. Hook has no knowledge of the MTHFR mutation and pregnancy. In the event of pregnancy bleeding, she will either tell you it's completely normal or her staff will try to send you off to the ER (on 3 occasions) before letting you see her. In the event of a miscarriage (which happened to me) she will fail to explain to you how long, painful, and dangerous it can be. I am 23 years old and this was my first pregnancy. I was blown off and treated like I should already know things I didn't know.

She helped us so much throughout my entire pregnancy and was especially sensitive to the fact we had been through previous miscarriages. My delivery was insane due to preeclampsia, but she was understanding and supportive throughout labor and during the post partum period. Highly recommend!

Initial pregnancy visits were good. Labor experience was hard but after a c-section there were complications. Dr. Hook had terrible bed side manner, spoke to me very unprofessionally and was not at all respectful or compassionate about the pain I was experiencing. I would never recommend her as a doctor to anyone. No one should be belittled by their doctor, especially after such a hard delivery & recovery. I would rather not be treated than have to endure another visit with her.
