I am new to Beaufort, and needed new eyeglasses. I made an appointment with Shell Optical, and was so impressed. Excellent care, and information from the Dr., and her staff was extremely helpful. I dn't think I have seen this well in 20 years!
If you are in need of an amazing eye doctor look no further! Dr. Johannes is very thorough, she is eager to help solve any issues and she has a great personality. A special thank you to Larry for taking care of my glasses that my cat Flanigan got ahold of. I could not be any happier with my experiences.

It has been years since I've had my eyes examined. Reading and working on the computer I noticed things started to look a little blurry to me. I recently visited Shell Point Optical and was very impressed by the service. My eye exam was very thorough and Dr. Johannes did a great job answering all my questions. Also, I ordered prescription sunglasses and was able to pick them up the next day! Overall, Shell Point Optical has amazing customer service, and I would highly recommend it to anyone needing an eye exam or a new pair of glasses.
If I chose to, I can get eyeglasses from the VA for free. But I've also been suffering from the effects of an ocular melanoma since 2006. In 2012, I went through an operation that saved my life, but gave me extreme double vision. Every "expert" between Beaufort, MUSC and the VA kept telling me optics couldn't help.
