We attended an appointment at the Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence in Red Deer with Dr. Campbell for a youth experiencing significant emotional distress. To the best of my knowledge and based on available family history, this young person had no prior mental health diagnoses and had not previously been prescribed psychiatric medication before this recent presentation. Step up step down program had a horrifying unprofessional doctor who yells, threatens and coerces. My daughter now has nightmares and PTSD from her experience with the SUSD program in red deer. Dr. Campbell should not be treating children. Run far and fast if you are considering putting your child in the program.

A very bright/ open center; enjoyed the walk through, during the open house! We should be so honored to have a facility, such as this, where people can be helped in their journey of life! Besides the fantastic bldg, we were very impressed with the staff! Great communicators, and right into the various programs ie; step up/down! It seemed like every activity for a young person was addressed ie: cooking, the arts, gym, with rooms interwoven for downtime, medical and school tutoring!
