I had an excellent experience with Dr. Shelby Booker. The office is well run, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Dr. Booker was professional and personable throughout the visit, and she took the time to ask how I wanted to approach my care rather than simply dictating next steps — she made me feel like a partner in my own care. She is a younger woman's doctor. Her focus and interest doesn't seem to be in older women. There was no explanation in why the exam was so vastly different from when I was younger and menstruating. She was in & out of the room in record time. But, that is the nature of medicine these days. Insurance and corporate directives overrules patient care. Not only that, but it was a wellness appointment covered for free by insurance, the front desk insisted on taking my copay to see the Doctor. I am still trying to get the money bac... read more
