Always remember, you are an inconvenience to Dr. Challa; I have never been treated so unprofessionally, I see nothing of him for my entire time as a patient until seconds before I’m being put under for a scope and he’s clearly in a foul mood yelling at his staff; next moment I’m waking up to him and nurses rushing me out the door when I’m still heavily inebriated from the sedation. I was having major digestive issues and tried to make an appt. with Dr. Challa, but his staff refused to make the appointment since I was not due for a colonoscopy at the time!
Ive been seen by Dr. Challa for approx 9-10 years. After seeing a couple of doctors, (none addressing the problem btw) he was willing to admit me. Due to my diagnosis, i was extremely concerned. He listened to my concerns and addressed them as expected/needed. I didnt feel rushed, etc. This is the norm. Highly recommended.
Overall the office was VERY dated, in the receptionist area there were a lot of patients files and notebooks and it looked a mess, not clean and straightened up. That made me question if he is up with technology. With the overall appearance of the office I have to question if his equipment is up to date as well. I will not be returning, I have had some problems since the procedure, going to address them with my PCP.
For those who read Gardner, KS – Apr 14, 2017 Kan: DITTO EVERY SINGLE STATEMENT. Others considering Dr. Challa please reconsider. I could write more but Gardner Kan said it best!
Can't really say I love getting a colonoscopy but they made it painless and I was comforted by their proficiency. They had me in and out in an hour and a half, I was not feeling drugged up, and felt good enough I probably could have gone back to work. Immediately went to Jason's deli for lunch and home to relax.
Inconsiderate, self-promoting and zero empathy whatsoever. Both his staff and other healthcare professionals agreed with my concerns. He is far more interested in just how powerful and knowlegeable he is than listening to a patient. He can't be bothered with questions or uncertancies, he'd rather you watch his videos, read his books and adore him in the manner in which he believes is worthy of his greatness. One to avoid, unless bedside manner isn't important in any way. :(
WORST PLACE TO GO!!!! Used to see Dr. Feagan here, but sadly he retired. He was amazing, was kind and helped me through every step of the way to full recovery! Years later had to go back and they set me up with Dr. Challa. He was rude, and kept cutting me off when I tried to discuss my options. Then he angrily wrote me a prescription, yelled at me, stormed out of the room and then left the door open while I heard him talking about me to nurse. She then started laughing at me.
