I enjoyed Shear madness so much, I went back to see it after having seen it last year. It is one of the longest running non musicals in theatre history, and that's saying something. It opened at the Kennedy Center in Washington in August of 1987. It's set in a hair salon in the city where it is playing. Therefore the dialogue consists of references to that city.
