Gia is awesome! – I moved to NY almost 3 years ago and was recommended by a friend to see Gia. She's amazing! I'm very picky when it comes to people cutting my hair and I think she does an excellent job! I've had her do highlights, bangs and layers. She's even styled my hair for weddings and every time it comes out perfect! If you're looking for someone to cut your hair in New York, I would definitely recommend Gia at Shear Bliss.
Gia is Great! – Gia has been cutting my hair for the past 4 years now. She is excellent. Whether you're looking for a classic or trendy bob, highlights or lowlights, a spiral perm or the layered look, she's your girl. She's a hard worker and is very accomodating with appointments (Wedneday through Sunday). Take a chance, you won't be disappointed. She's worth her fees.
Love it, great stuff. Ask about Powe Dose, it changed my hair it will change yours. – I've been going to Shear Bliss for some time and i love it. Its been a great cuts and colors. Recently they offered me a Power Dose to shine up my hair and its something unbealiveble, they say its a pure proteins(whatever it is , it works.) Its shine , soft and beautiful. Highly recommend.
Excellent cuts and color! – I've been seeing Lana for years & always leave with great looking hair! Even when it's so busy that she has to get someone to help her with certain things on me (color, blowdrying, etc), I still feel pampered by her & everyone else. I admit, you have to watch out for that price list...it seems like it's $25+ for a cut but that "+" is a kicker...I know they charge more for senior stylists & long hair. Snotty service – Walked into this place and they took one look at me in my sneakers and jeans and i could feel everyone's snobby pretentious look of disgust. The receptionist look stressted out, a sign on the door says "walk in appointments available" but the receptionist walked around asking and no one seemed to agree to want to cut my hair then they told me maybe in 45 minutes. I walked out feeling like they all thought they were better than me. No thanks!
Thought it was great, until they overcharged me! – Ignore the fact that the salon's website tells you a shampoo/cut/style comes to 25. They ended up charging me 60! When I asked about it, I was told that my stylist was a senior stylist, whose cuts start at 45. No one told me this when I came in! I ended up paying over twice as much as I was expecting to spend, which soured the whole experience for me.
