Up until 5 years ago, I would just got to any barber shop for a haircut. I have been to almost every shop in the city... then I found Kay at Shear Agony. And I have only gone there for almost half a decade, haha. Nuff said! P.s. "Walkens" Welcome!
What a great experience, fantastic atmosphere, great conversation and the decor is a real throwback. I had my hair cut with Miranda today and had a great experience. It was a Mohawk so not the easiest of cuts but she knocked it out of the park and cleaned up a poor previous cut from another establishment. She was clear and concise with what she was skilled at and what she wasn't and was not afraid to say that's not in my skillset if it wasn't yet offered alternative solutions. That's definitely not always the case

Got a great textured quiff and fade from Miranda. Highly recommend!
Not a good experience, one and done. Owner cut my hair, the usual introductions. Owner inherited business from dad, got his cert at VIU. Cool. Asks me what I do, instantly becomes accusatory/belittling when I tell him what I do and would not shut up. Then becomes insulting at a personal level. To top it off, place was dirty. Business must be booming to be treating new potential customers like s and it’s acceptable for the owners station to be filthy.
