Do not use this appraiser. Recently had a FHA client go under contract on a home with a well and septic in York County, PA. Sheaffer Appraisal Services was unfortunately hired for the job and they nearly killed the deal by stating in the report that the well and septic were less than the FHA minimum distance requirements. Over the years, I have had my primary residence and several rental houses appraised by Sheaffer Appraisal at the request of mortgage lenders. i am extremely happy with their services. If I ever needed to hire an appraiser directly, my first call would be to Sheaffer.
I'm a retired realtor, I called for some free advise ,,their answering machine said they were very busy..no one ever called me back
