I read Amira’s experience & I was appalled. 😳 I’ve never known of a doctor to be so insensitive to their patient’s care. I would’ve changed doctors the minute I saw the red flags in the beginning. I’m happy you were able to change doctors and had a successful pregnancy but this doctor apparently has racial biases to me. Hospital Staff should’ve taken your complaint more seriously. In fact, I would write a letter to the board of licensure. God bless and take care.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I accompanied my 41-weeks pregnant client to her prenatal appointment with Dr. Shayla Matthews Jackson and was deeply disturbed by the provider’s conduct. From the moment she entered the room, Dr. Jackson was dismissive and unprofessional — she did not greet or acknowledge any of the client’s support team.
