I found her condescending and as others have noted, she talks to you like you have no idea about your own condition and what has been working for decades. If you mention anything about diet, she looks at you like a dumb puppy and says "well if you think that makes you feel better, then do it." Don't even bother calling the office. Took forever for them to call back. Once they finally called back, you can't even get an appointment until a year out. Ridiculous.
I have United healthcare insurance and I need to see an endocrinologist and there’s not one that is close to me in my radius. They are willing to give me an override to see Dr. Herrera as a new patient and her billing department refuses to accept it and see me. I just think it’s very wrong for any doctor to deny care to somebody because of insurance if you were that great of a doctor, isn’t it your oath to want to help people and help everybody so because you’re not gonna get paid maybe properly you’re not willing to take th... read more
Dr Shayhira Suazo-Herrera is an outstanding endocrinologist. She is attentive, caring and very knowledgeable. She truly gets to know each patient and is very thorough with her treatments and recommendations. I recommend her without reservation.
I screwed up my initial appointment and missed it. I have a disability! I needed it because my primary couldn’t answer my questions about why I was getting worse. I also have a surgery relying on this visit for a hole remaining in my ankle from an operation in January. They flat out dropped me for missing the appt and they said it was the Dr’s rules! So very disappointed in them.
