This gentle man carries the burden of an underfunded clinic and long hours. Some might complain that he comes short with their needs. I would say go to the city and get the care you believe you need. The entire Cape is under duress with the inability to attract viable physicians. We are fortunate to have him. His time with us is already beyond expectation. Upon his departure it will be a challenge indeed for anyone needing a PCP.
Can anyone ever get through on the phone to make an appointment or are they still saying there is a new system they rolled out and can’t answer the phone? Do you really have to walk or ride over just to make appt? Seems silly
Probably the best Doctor I've ever had. He is knowledgeable, kind, and is an all around good person. Goes out of his way for his patients, and I couldn't ask for a better Doctor.
His skill level is probably adequate, but down deep, I really don’t think Dr. Shay is a nice person. While his quirkiness can appear to be charming at the outset, there is way too much evidence of unprofessionalism for comfort. Because his frustration tolerance is low, both quality and quantity of care suffers inordinately. Dr Shay is a funny qauirky doc who really has the patient's welfare on the top of his agenda. I have found him smart, a great listener, and ready to take the time to listen to all of your needs. Highly recommend!
