I have medical ptsd. In talking with preop call for anesthesia department I explained allergies and concerns. I was assured after she consulted with department that 2 hours was plenty of time for anesthesia to talk to me. Previous surgeries they even called me the previous night. Upon arriving Shawn Carson I was told was my anesthesiologist. Anxiety is an issue with me as I have had 2 awareness surgeries, and CPR had to be done for 22 mins for one. I recently had surgery at Christ Hospital, Dr. Shawn Carson was my Anesthesiologist. He was very knowledgeable, kind and gentle, not to mention he is gorgeous. Now I am 71 years old, and my last thought before going to sleep was, if I don't wake up........I would be happy to see his face as the last thing on earth. LOL.....I am old not dead. He is very capable and would recommend him to anyone. I came through the surgery fine. So thumbs up for Dr. Shawn Carson.
