Dr. Obey definitely exceeds our expectations. Pregnant with our first baby, our first OBGYN in the Riverside area did not meet our expectations. In search for a new OBGYN closer to our home, we stumbled across Dr. Obey and decided to take a chance on her. She made my wife feel better on our first visit, treated her with urgency, respect, and genuine care. She addressed any questions or concerns we had and is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I CANNOT recommend Dr. Obey. I was searching for a female Gynecologist in the Rancho Cucamonga area, and was optimistic about her credentials and care she touted on her bio. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the same service. My first appointment I was seen 1.5 hrs late. This was due to her unexpected trip she had to make to the hospital. Ok, I was understanding. Shawanda Renee Obey, MD, is one of the nicest, considerate, honest doctors I have ever met. I use to work in the Medical field and she by far has exceeded expectations. She is the most thorough doctor, takes the time with her patients and listens to them. I am new to the area so I went on a whim of finding someone and I am very grateful I went to her! Thank you to her and the kind staff at Summit women’s & wellness medical group in Rancho Cucamonga. Truly a great place!
I have 3 children now. Dr. obey delivered my third baby in August 2024. I wish I had her for my other two. She is a dedicated advocate for you while in the hospital to deliver. The entire pregnancy she was amazing to address my concerns. Post partum care she was attentive. She noticed signs for postpartum preeclampsia while I was in labor and got me tested. Dr. Obey is a kind, smart, and knowledgeable doctor with a lovely bedside manner. Her office is also beautiful and welcoming. So grateful to have found a physician of her caliber in the IE!
