Shaw Mountain Apartments are an entomologist’s dream. You can study all sorts of bugs! Spiders, Western Conifer Seed bugs, Box Elder bug, and my personal favorite the Elm Seed bugs! Because they never treat the trees, buildings, or surrounding areas, they are infested with them! Overall, I have really enjoyed living at Shaw Mountain apartments. The managers are always nice and helpful, maintenance is quick to respond to an issue, and the location and space in the apartment perfect for me (especially the huge walk-in closet). The 3-story buildings are oriented to have really beautiful views of the sunset as well. The only thing that that has been a bit of a challenge were the immense volume of elm seed bugs that invaded in the summer into fall. I’ve been living here for almost 2 years with my boyfriend and dog! We love it here. It’s so peaceful! We have a lovely view and it’s tucked away so you don’t hear any traffic noise. The management and the maintenance people are always on top of everything they go above and beyond! Great place to live if I do say so. :)
We just moved in yesterday, and this an absolutely beautiful apartment. It is cozy and quaint, cute little squirrels running everywhere, I just love it! The staff is amazing to work with as well, everyone is friendly and polite.
You have to call many times for a simple maintenance request like switching out an outside light and it wont be fixed until months in. Management is horrible, no one ever answers the phone. Watch for hidden fees!
