I was Dr. Shave's patient back in the mid to late 70s when I was a kid. I just need to get it off my chest that I experienced excruciating pain from the drill for every one of those fillings he put into my mouth. Once when I told him that the anesthetic wasn't working, he said "Maybe I shouldn't use any". Because he was the only dentist I had used when I was a kid, I didn't know that dental work could be completely pain free. Great Practice Friendly and laid back staff and dentist. I switched over from Monarch to Dr. Shave's office about a year and a half ago and I am so glad that I did. They do not require or recommended any unnecessary exams or services. Anything that they suggest is based on what they are observing in your mouth. They also have a great orthodontist and oral surgeon that they will refer you to if you ask or need the services.
Cleaning and whitening 2-3 times every year. They call with reminders for appts (which is great) and are very professional with the billing insurance process etc.
Very good doctor with enough experience to know what he is doing. He cares about his patients and does not do things that are not needed. He is honest which means a lot. I had another dentist once that tried to tell me I had 10 cavities just to make money. He was just lying. But Dr. Shave is very honest and caring.
Very nice and great with kids as well as adults. He is a great man and his staff is just as wonderful. My son constantly asks when we can go back for the 6 months between visits.
Honest, great bedside manner - only performs proceedures that are necessary. Reasonable prices.
