After seeing Dr Mathen for the first time, I was happy all day. I thought I'd FINALLY found a doctor who "got it". I felt he listened to me fully, took the time to explain what I needed him to, and I wasn't just "a number". I feel like he really wants me to be healthier & not just cover up my symptoms. Every time I see him, I come out of his office feeling more informed & excited to make better choices about my diet, exercise, & mental health. Thank you Doctor Mathen! THIS is how medicine should be.
He asked what my future health goals are . He worked out steps to accomplish.
Dr. Mathen listened intently to my issues and concerns. He responded with the least invasive and most logical (to me) referrals and suggestions. He doesn’t just write a prescription without thinking. This is a good thing to me, and why I wanted to see an integrative physican. He spent time, didn’t rush. He has a very calming presence.
