We had so much fun at the workshop. Learned a ton. Sharpening a knife is so much more than I had imagined. You should definitely try it. Also a great way to spend couple of hours with your buddies and learn something useful.
Sharp knife has nice products at very competitive prices. That| said Gage is a great guy but when I brought my knife in for its one free sharpening to correct the edge his Saturday employe brought it back and the edge was certainly not improved and when pointed out he dismissed the concern leaving a lack lustred experience.
A truly excellent knife (Masutani Sairyu Nakiri 170 mm) and unbelievably even better after sales service. To start with the knife.. I did a very simple blind test for three fieinds - tasting vegetables cut with their knives or mine. Two out of three noticed a difference in presentation and taste in tomatos, peppers and carots cut with mine. The third friend is obviously a fool. Very satisfying to use as well. Excellent service, They sharpened my knives like razors and helped clean up some rust from one of my carbon steel blades that was put into storage in what was thought to be a dry sheath
I have bought 2 knives there very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The knives they sell are amazing to cook with.
