I have had the most inappropriate chain of interactions with Sharp in the last several months. First, I inquire about a bill from a preventive visit related to blood work. They coded the blood work a certain way, insisted they could not change the way it was coded, and I would have to pay. The other blood work I was charged for, they determined was related to non-preventive services discussed. The doctors are amazing, but the insurance is dreadful. Even after the state orders them to comply, they refuse and arbitrarily decide they want to require a $5000 deductible and charge 65% over the market price for the prescription. Worst insurance plan in the state. Going to have to file and serve them next week.
Very poor and unprofessional service. I have called 7 times over a simple $0.95 billing issue, and it is still not resolved. I already paid my previous bill, but their system still shows a balance and is causing problems with paying my monthly premium. If a billing department cannot fix a 95-cent issue after seven calls, that says a lot about their service. I do not recommend Sharp Health Plan and will be switching to another insurance provider at the end of the year.
Perfect place for real health care
Can someone over there please help me with an issue I am currently experiencing with your pre-auth process. My MD prescribed a medication 23 days ago and pre-auth is still pending, despite it showing in my Sharp App that it is approved. I checked with my Pharmacy, and they tell me that they don't see a prescription sent to them, so they direct me back to my MD.
