Very disappointing health plan. They advertise as San Diego's number one health plan. They continue to make a difficult season more difficult by denying things our baby needs. Poor communication and consistency. Does not work well with Sharp Rees Stealy. Customer service has not been able to reassure us that we are valued customers. We will be switching at open enrollment.
I’d like to specifically recognize Mr. Daniel Roth. As an agency principal working with Covered California, I offer Sharp Health Plan to my clients. While Sharp has made meaningful improvements to its broker portal, there are still some technological limitations that make it difficult to provide a fully seamless, start-to-finish service experience. Sharp Health Plan just impressed me, again. (Every experience I've had with this insurance company has been extraordinary.) Frank E., a customer service agent was patient, professional and kind as he took me through the Sharp Health website so I could change my payment schedule. I've worked with several big name insurance companies over the years, everyone from Frank E. to my primary care P.A. Cameron Jones to my husband's new GI doctor Ana Maria Crissien Martinez. Vanessa was so helpful in fact she went above and beyond by telling me when I call back I can ask for her and she will be more than happy to help me. I had called earlier and th first girl I had such a bad attitude and her tone was very short and unfriendly. Vanessa had a very kind and courteous tone and speaking manner.
