In February, 2021, Dr. Weber and her team removed neuroendocrine carcinoid tumors, along with a significant portion of my small intestine. Two local surgeons, when they saw the imagery, said that it was inoperable. However, they had the wisdom to send the imagery to Dr. Weber, and she said that she could do the surgery. Dr. Weber basically saved my life about 2 1/2 years ago. Now that my sarcoma may have returned, I needed to go see her again. I don't think there is anyone else I would rather have care for me. Dr. Weber and her team have the expertise to tackle rare cancers, improving quality of life after such a devastating diagnosis.
Every single person I spoke to was kind and respectful. I feel so fortunate to have UW Hospital as my place of care. My surgeon and her intern made me feel so well cared for.
