RecommendedI been a Student at Sharkey's for about 5 years now within the time I've been here I went from 220 pounds to 160, In addition to my weight loss I talk to my kidney doctor and he told me do to my dedication to Fitness and good health that I was able to bring my kidneys from 55% in 2014 to 70% now. ( 85% being the normal kidney function for someone without kidney disease my age) and if I get off lithium that my scarred kidneys might heal up (not 100% though) and my kidneys might function at 85%! Sharkeys Karate changed my life as well as my career in martial arts competition. I have been going to the camps at least once every year for 5 years, and I love it every time I go. All the people are friendly and many of them compete at the highest level. Sensei Sharkey is wonderful with the students. His staff is knowledgeable and their teaching style is effective. This is a great school for both beginner and advanced students.
