Disappointing Customer Service Experience I've visited Sharks in Ashburn twice now, and both times, the customer service has been severely lacking. On my first visit, the staff literally stared at me from the break room without any acknowledgment. On my second visit, the front desk employee looked at me, said nothing, and continued cleaning. If I could give it negative stars I would. To say this cut is bad is an understatement. First, it looks nothing like I asked. Second, everything I said needed translation obviously he didn’t translate it well or care to tell her she’s doing it wrong. Next, after we dealt with the bad cut and experience we get home and his hair is completely dry we can see just how bad the cut is. It is uneven and choppy EVERYWHERE. I took my 4.5 year old for a haircut and we had a horrible experience. She has curly hair and from what the website said, I assumed the stylists would be able to handle this. I was wrong. They had curly shampoo and used regular shampoo. She didn’t understand, even with someone translating, how to style and dry her hair. Her hair ended up being a poofy mess by the end. I will never visit this location again.

What I like about Sharkey's Ashburn: 1. The stylists did a good job with both haircuts for my daughters, 2. The salon itself is cute with the chairs being made of miniature cars, 3. They hand out lollipops and ballons to the kids after the cut. What was not ideal: 1. The location - very difficult to find and parking is a pain. 2. My kids and I had a difficult time communicating with the stylists because we don't speak spanish, 3. One stylist was out of touch with her client (my daughter). Recently, I scheduled a hair cut for my son and it was a worst experience ever. I gave her enough instructions about the hair cut in simple English language and even showed her sample image and she messed up. I tried to explain her what went wrong but, she did not even understand and she did not even care. I would never recommend this salon to anyone ever.
