Lina Kay is one of the most knowledgable and helpful Dr's I have ever encountered. She is very thorough and listens to all of my needs. She has been a tremendous help for all my health needs and I feel very fortunate to have her in my corner. If you are looking to find someone who can truly help you get better I can't recommend her strongly enough. I have a very short A list of people I consult for my health and she is way at the top! I rarely make recommendations but she is the exception.
I have been a patient of Dr. Shapiro's for many years. I am always so grateful for the time he spends with me and the knowledge he has in his field. He is always up to date on all the latest science. His thoroughness and concern have kept me in good health. No other doctor is as thorough as he is. His assistant, Lina Kay, is always an added bonus. As is to be expected, Dr. Shapiro hires only the best. She too is a font of knowledge and so caring. She responds to phone calls quickly and explains things in layman's terms. She ... read more
Dr Shapiro is awesome. He is busy, but he is awesome at his job and I have always found that he's compassionate and thorough in his explanations. In fact, 15 years ago, he knew I was worried about some pathology results and he called me personally the night before Thanksgiving at 7:30pm to give me the good news that the path reports were clear as he didn't want me to worry over the holiday. Something not all Dr's would have done. I won't go anywhere else.
I have been a patient of Dr Shapiro for 15 plus years and have been treated for esophageal/stomach cancer & other G.I. issues. Dr Shapiro is extremely caring of his patients and explores and finds the medication(s) &/or tests or procedures to run. He is also open for a second opinion as he wants to be sure of his reccomendation because of my surviving a terminal cancer & suffer the syptoms of gastroparesis & others. He is the best
Dr Shapiro started out ok but after my endoscopy which left me in pain for months you never see him again. Only the PA who doesn’t know much. I was scheduled for another endoscopy and was in preop with IV in waited 2 hrs for him to rudely told me he wouldn’t do the procedure and I should find another Dr. I am an RN and I have never heard of such a rude physician move and I think my medical background was intimidating because they would not look at my chart or history and I kept catching them being subpar. Both Dr and PA
If I could give zero stars, I would. Paid a $50 specialist co-pay only to be seen by nurse practitioner who made a huge error in visit note. Waited three months for endoscopy appointment. Arrived at 7 am as directed. Then waited more than 5 1/2 hours to be taken in for procedure. Woke up from anesthesia soaked in urine, as they failed to catheterize me. Later, when I call to schedule a follow-up, I am told - when I try to change the follow-up to a date when I can see the doctor rather than NP - that Dr. Shapiro doesn't do fo... read more
Without exaggeration Dr Shapiro saved my life. He continues to provide the best of care for me.
LOVE Dr Shapiro....... Unfortunately not his staff or PA. And you only get to see Dr Shapiro for procedures. You have to follow-up on your procedures with his PA and she doesnt know a thing about you or your procedure I can READ the report MYSELF and thats all she did Office staff isnt very professional or friendly
When a family member recommended Dr. Shapiro to me, I was told by his receptionist that "Dr, Shapiro doesn't accept new patients that have seen another gastroenterologist within the last two years" even though I explicitly told her I'd only seen my prior gastroenterologist once, and was just looking for a second opinion. My family member also called on my behalf and was told the same information. How is healthcare a "free market" again?
