Leuke toko. Mooie tuin. Er groeit ook hop in de tuin. En je kan de brouwketels bekijken. Gemoedelijk. Aardige mensen. Zouden een BCycle punt voor de deur kunnen hebben wat mij (als tourist) betreft.
Shanty Shack Brewing has the friendly, unpretentious character that makes an independent brewery worth seeking out. I enjoyed the relaxed Santa Cruz atmosphere and the chance to explore a rotating selection of locally brewed beer in a casual taproom setting. It feels community-minded rather than overly polished, which is a big part of the appeal. This is a great stop for slowing down, trying something new, and spending time with friends. I would happily come back on another Santa Cruz visit.
I've been to many hundreds of breweries around the world in dozens of countries. For quality, for heart, and for soul, Shanty ranks in my all time top 5. I've been visiting since they first opened. Always a fresh original brew with innovative flavors, always a chill welcoming space. A true Santa Cruz original treasure. If you want to get to know our local brew scene you MUST stop here first.
