Worst inpatient experience yet and one time I had to be flown to San Antonio. Put in so called new building with defefuct plugs, showers drains, hvac with the temperature constantly fluctuating, even in two rooms. Over 50% nurses i dealt with were half-assed, taking long amount of time to deal with your iv alarms which are never-ending. Put in iso room by mistake as a test order was misread...surgeon came to remove bandage and check the site and didn't know it had already had, twice. A city should never be ruled by 1 medical care system. Shannon has a grip on San angelo and it's causing people pain and misery. 20 yrs ago at least there was 2 options. Now one has to deal with the incompetence of Shannon or drive somewhere else. Its sad.

I have family and friends in San Angelo and I've heard so MANY horror stories about the care patients are receiving.

My roommate woke up with a sharp pain on her right side thinking it was her appendix or gallbladder so we took her to Shannon (thinking it was going to be a good place to take her) once we got to the ER we waited 2 HOURS just to get a room in the back, once we got to her room there were bugs crawling on her BED and on the floor, the nurse that was taking my roommates blood dropped the syringe on the floor before taking her blood and used THE SAME NEEDLE.
