He was always aggressive and condescending to me as a kid back in 1991-1997, but we had medicaid so our options were limited. Got upset at how I was taking care of my teeth, but never offered any advice. As an adult out of poverty I realized how bad the service received was as a kid. I wonder if I actually needed some of these fillings or if it was a cash grab.
Have been there many times, always makes and effort to get me in in an emergency. Even when it isn't that bad of an emergency. Staff and office are always kind.
He was very gruff with me because he had to give me two shot to for my filling. That was three months ago and my filling still hurts.
My kids and I have used Dr Shanker for a variety of dental needs. We have not had a bad experience with him, ever!! Due to insurance, I had to take my daughter to another dentist for a cavity. The other dentist pushed for a root canal and a whole bunch of other services. Even though insurance covered it, I wasn't sure I trusted the other provider. Terrible service,the staff don't call to give you reminder for your visit,if they have an error on giving you an appt, OH WELL not apologetic at ALL! would not recommed to anyone,not even a cleaning.
