I have been going to (and getting delivery from) Shanghai Gardens for years. Love. Them. Great food and very accommodating to special requests. I compare any other Chinese food to them!
I will never order from this place again! They told the wait will be about an hr.. OK no problem, order never came the person that took my address wrote it wrong! You would think they will call me to let me know they couldn't find the address Noooo!!!! I called back and they said the driver will be here soon... 20 mins passed... And... Nothing! Really? was our first time there the food was good, but wont be going back. One of the waitress was was yelling across the dinning room at the other (what i think was a waitress couldnt tell because none had any indication they even worked there like a name tag even).she also had a very poor attitude to guest,and the wait was soooooo long for just a pupu platter. Food was good. But from the way we saw how the staff acted around and to the guests, we probably wont be back.
I haven't been to Shanghi Gardens in 7 years. It used to be my favorite place for scorpion bowls and crab rangoons. But my last visit will be my LAST! This place is now so dirty and has had no upkeep. The booths, to the floors, and the walls were covered in filth. The food was not like the old Shanghi I used to enjoy. If there dining area is that filthy I'm wondering how the kitchen is? Don't waste your time and money here quans or mon kou are better.

I ordered $55 in food last night that was the WORST Chinese food I have ever had! No one in my house will even eat it! The pork fried rice had NO pork, egg or onion in it, and the color was almost black. It tasted like pure soy sauce and was hard. All the meat was leathery and overcooked. I've been trying to call to complain, but when I call, the operator says the number is not in service! This is the number on their FB page and all of google! Shady! Called in a dinner combo and was told 10 min. When I got there, I waited at least another 10 minutes. Not sure why it took so long because the food definitely was not fresh. It was awful. I won't be ordering again.
