Best indian food on i-drive! – I had a really nice dinner at shalimar with my husband and three kids. It was great food and nice atmosphere. No complaints.

Two Excellent Dinners – During a business trip to Orlando during May 2010, I had dinner two evenings at Shalimar. Both nights were terrific but especially the second evening. I enjoyed the Lamb Curry Shahi. It had boneless lamb with tasty spices. The Chef was kind enough to prepare a special Nan Bread which was not on the menu. He prepared it with ingredients per my request. This was nice. Chris the waiter was first class. A nice person and very good at what he does. AAARRRGGG!!! – Being that I love Indian food, I have to say that this place was not what I expected. My waiter seemed off, and did not communicate well. Kept interrupting my family and me while trying to eat, by asking personal questions. Stood at the table for long periods. We got our drinks refilled right before we were about to leave. When the receipt was brought back to me I noticed that they charged my credit card twice, and I told my waiter. He assured me that he stopped the transaction. Do not step in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – This is the worst restaurant I have ever ever been to !! I had visited orlando and wished that I could eat some great Indian food. So I thought about going to this restaurant which was nearby. From outside, it really seemed that I am entering some awesome place. But when I entered it was a nightmare !! A week Old Food...Forced to pay service charges for Buffet..A V O I D – Went there last Sunday with my wife during our trip to Orlando. We had this craving for Indian food, and unfortunately saw Shalimar on our way to shopping. We decided to try their buffet. It was a regular buffet which one finds at almost all Indian restaurant (at least lookwise). BUT....the taste was horrible. Avoid. – Food : Not Good. Service: Owner service not good not keeping his promise. Other people is so so. Coupon: When we call owner, offer us coupon and in coupon said kids eat free form kids menu. Did not allow kids menu to order ask if you want to pay I can serve kids menu. Tip: 20% tip was added into bill. When we have asked us, show the menu with dark background with dark color font written about tip will be added into the bill. Note : mkhan is owner who gave himself five stars.
