I’ve been a patient of Dr Shakir for 16 years. During this time Dr Shakir has been one of my best Doctors. He listens to my concerns and has been so supportive especially during COVID and my mental health.
Dr. Shakir has been my Rheumatologist for the past 17 years. I was referred to him because I was having inflammatory pain in my hands and ankles. After a number of tests, he diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis, as well as ankylosing spondylitis. From day one, I've found him to be very caring and attentive. I went to him in hopes that he could help diagnose me as I’ve been struggling with chronic health issues for years now. Not only did he spend 5 minutes at MOST with me but he gaslit me and told me that I probably just have allergies. I would not recommend as it is a waste of time and money and he doesn’t even listen to you.
I appreciate Dr. Shakirs knowledge and assistance through my rheumatoid arthritis.
