Absolutely one of my best restaurant experiences. Not just an open kitchen, but the concept of sitting at the "counter" and watching the chefs (more like artists) perform and being able to talk to them was awesome. The whole staff were extremely knowledgeable of the food ingredients and drinks and their recommendations did not disappoint. One of my favorites from all over the world!
Being a food lover and a food blogger i have had my fair share of good food. However shaker and spear is by far the best seafood i have ever had! Chef carolynn spence celebrates every single ingredient and component on her dishes with a touch of modernism. The ambience is warm and inviting and the service is impeccable. 5 stars!

So good. I had the Lamb Ragout and it was delicious.
LOVE this place! The bartenders and staff are overly friendly and accommodating. There's a bar that watches over the chef station and is comfortable to eat alone. If you have company, they also have tables for a more intimate setting. I've had the salmon Caesar and the kale, feta and quinoa salad and they were perfect. Very reasonably priced around $13-15 a salad, for a hotel restaurant anyways. The bread is incredible. Highly recommended.
Food fantastic and the service was even better. I loved the "tastes" of the wine they were suggesting.
Absolutely great food. Sat at chefs counter and watched all the food being prepared, excellent preparation. Had the lamb pasta, so perfect!! Loved it, a gray find I just stumbled upon.
