I have been going to Dr. Ahmad for 8 years now and he is absolutely an expert in his field. He performed a thyroid radio frequency ablation on my benign nodule that was 6.7 cm. The ablation was an in and out procedure and very low maintenance recovery. My nodule is now 1.9 cm after 3 months. This was in place of taking my entire thyroid and lifetime medication. Thank you Dr. Ahmad.
A previous endocrinologist told me that for by hyperactive thyroid I should have my thyroid ablated with radioactive iodine, then I'd have to take thyroid meds for the rest of my life, and possibly heart meads also. I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Ahmad and his office. While he was professional and confident—which initially made me feel reassured—there were several major issues that ultimately led me to seek care elsewhere. During the biopsy, Dr. Ahmad was as gentle as he could be and assured me he’d be available anytime afterward if needed. I had an egg sized thyroid nodule that was pressed on my trachea and causing discomfort and difficulty swallowing. Dr Ahmad performed an RFA procedure and significantly reduced the nodule. I no longer have any discomfort, my thyroid levels are great, and no surgery needed! Highly recommend the procedure to anyone wanting to avoid thyroid surgery and hypothyroidism!
