She is a very understanding doctor. Excellent, in her work.
Dr Alam was kind, caring, and a good listener. This review is not a reflection of her but rather the scheduling staff. When I called to make the appointment I told the scheduler that we needed an appointment for an autism evaluation. We got to the appointment with Dr Alam, after waiting for weeks, to find out they do not do evaluations for autism at Promedica Behavioral Health. Will be charged for nothing. Scheduling staff needs better trained.
Definitely would not recommend this psychiatrist. She should not be working in mental health if she doesn’t believe in it. I can say this with certainty as I myself am a healthcare professional and I was appalled by her insensitive demeanor. My first appointment was long and thorough, but I found her to be condescending, rude, and uncaring to some very sensitive topics regarding my history.
